View Full Version : Can't access web sites from e-mail

Judy
In Outlook 6.0, if I get an e-mail with a web site address in it, I can't
access the web site. The cursor turns into the hand, I click on the web
address, it shows up down below but nothing happens. If I try to move down
to cut and paste the web address, it goes away. I can cut and paste if the
full web address is listed in the e-mail but if it is just a one word link,
I'm lost.

Rick B
This is an ACCESS Forms coding newsgroup. Not an OUTLOOK or an INTERNET
EXPLORER newsgroup.

Needless cross-posting eliminated.

Assuming you're running Outlook *Express* 6.0...

1. You click on a link in an OE message and an IE window doesn't even open:

http://www.oehelp.com/ielnk.aspx.

2. You click on a link in an OE message and an IE window opens but it
doesn't load:

Click on a Link

(re-register all DLLs listed in this KB article)

Installing the latest Cumulative Patch for IE may solve the problem as a
side-effect. Check in at Windows Update.

Like all newsgroups, they may be more familar with one than another and it
happens quite often that sometime people will pose a question unrelated to
the topic. But then they see replies like what you've sent and think there
is nothing but a bunch of knuckleheads in that group afterall.

So since it is a Microsoft public newsgroup and you aren't GOD, get over it
ya weenie or are you one of those that crawl out of the woodwork when
someone posts and their clock isn't set right so you can gripe about that
then slink back into your hole never to help anyone and just sit on your
perch waiting for someone to do something wrong in your eyes so you can once
again strike like a snake in the grass.

Geez, would it have really taken that much effort to overlook something
instead of possibly point them to the right newsgroup? I guess in your case
it must have been just too tempting and you felt it was your need to strike
back.

What a weenie.

You really need to stop prevaricating and say what you actually think.

Happy
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will do.
