When I first start OE and go to a newsgroup. I get server couldnt be found.
If I switch offline then online It will work.Or if I go to another group it
may connect. I have Mcafee antivirus and xp and latest updates.. Thanks PG

How are you connected to the Internet (Dial-up or broadband)?

If dial-up, are you already connected when you start OE or are you expecting OE to dial?
Check your settings in OE at Tools, Accounts, News, Properties, Connection.
