I am getting a message that the graphics and / or
soundcard in the computer have not been certified for use
with microsoft direct x and this is affecting the proper
operation of pinnicle studio 8.1.
Can anyone help

Pinnacle Studio 8.1 is best run with your monitor set at 1024x768 pixels.
Are you using that setting?
