Bob [MVP] 07-07-2004, 08:10 PM Hi Sid,
What do you mean when you say it does not allow you to
export movie clips back to tape? You "should" be able
to do that via the IEEE-1394 (iLink, FireWire) port.
Please provide more details of your problem, and
hopefully someone will be able to help you.

Bob [MVP] 07-07-2004, 09:00 PM Take a look at this "DV Enabler":
http://www.threedoubleyou.com/dvenabler.htm
I really don't know anything about this product --
I just stumbled upon it when I did a google
search for your camcorder. But its description
sounds like just what you need. :-)
Hope this helps!

tape`. Sorry that I sdid not make this clear in my question. As my camcorder does not have `DV in` is there any other method that I
can use to record to VCR.

Graham Hughes, MVP Digital Media 07-07-2004, 09:36 PM If your graphics card has a tv out option you may be able to use this.
Otherwise it's investing in either a analogue pci capture card or an
external box. canopus and miglia make two fine ones, make sure it supports
both ways as some of the cheaper ones don't.

Graham Hughes, MVP Digital Media 07-07-2004, 09:39 PM Can't get in to the page to look at that Bob??
They have been outlawed in the UK with manufacturers only being allowed to
sell of what stock they have left.
They change the internal settings of teh cam to enable dv-in. Ensure it will
reverse the effect if the cam is still iunder warranty and it needs to go
back at any stage.

A possible solution, which I started doing:
Burn DVD's, play DVD's on standalone DVD player which is output to a VCR.
This may or may not be in your budget and or desires.
Rich
quietguy 07-08-2004, 12:43 PM That is what I did, except I used DVDRW
