Hi
I seem to have a fundamental problem or misunderstanding about movie maker2
If i make a new collection call HOLS
then use task to import three mpegx (from a sony PC100)
then move all three into HOLS and click HOLS
I see no thumbnail of the three mpegs ??
I expected that the HOLS i created was a directory that contained the 3
mpegs visible on the collection area for selection to the stormboard area ??

MM does not support mpeg video only wmv or avi. I also
had this problem but managed to convert the mpeg.
Good Luck

mpeg is not supported by wmv. As the last post said you can convert the mpeg
to .avi or .wmv. There is a plugin for mpeg support though. I believe I came
across it from the Windows xp homepage.

thnaks all
the thing is that these mpegs do import ok, play ok with sound and video
BUT they each come in as a separate collection in there own right.
When you create a new collection and place them all in it that collection
they are not visibe when you selection the root collection. But they are
visible when you select each one in turn
This looks more like a display BUG that a non supported import feature.

I just select all and place in the storyboard area and them move then around
exports as a wmv and project sabes ok
