Does anyone know if its possible to hook my VCR to my
computer, and burn a videtape onto a CD? I would like to
transfer some home video. If so, do I need any particular
software? I have a cable connection on the back of the HD
so I could connect the VCR there...

Thanks!!

Not as simple as hooking up a cable I'm afraid. You need a capture device.
Hardware and software. A video card with analog input would be helpful. ATI
Video card

Otherwise a hardware capture device like ADVC Example:

camcorder with passthrough would be nice alternative. Connect VCR and learn
a few tips and you are on your way.

Good luck.
