i can click on the images above the storyboard, and they appear in the
window, but when I play the story, none of the pictures appear. It is just
BLACK.

What are running on? Have you upgraded to SP2 yet ? If not do so otherwise a
lot of reinstalls are in order...

1. Video card driver.
2. Directx.
3. Windows Media Player
4. Windows Media Encoder
