In common with Surf Rat (posted 8/3/4) and Rik (posted
1/3/4)when accessing Explorer I get the error message "The
instruction at "0x02fab710" referenced memory
at "0x02fab710". The memory could not be"read"
This is occuring on two different DELL computers running
W2K pro and seems to have occured after one of the auto
downloaded patches. (Absolutely right,I have no idea which
one.) It is possible to ignore the error message and
continue with my work. The only thing that may happen is
that my desktop disappears and I have to restore it.
So what's the cure?

Any clues??? I get this on 4 different IBM desktops w/
W2K Pro. Do not necessarily launch Explorer to get it.
Lose the desktp too.
W2K is OEM so Microsoft only refers to computer
manufacturer.. like they're going to help.
