Lately I've been logging into a website on IE that
features a chat room. Once in the chatroom, I'd see a list
of users on the right side of the screen. I should be able
to click on a user's name with the mouse button, and see a
dialog box with various options on it. I should then be
able to click on one of the options and complete the
indicated action, e.g. open a private chat with that user.
However, when I clicked on the dialog box IE immediately
crashed, and I was forced to terminate it by opening up
the task manager with CTL-ALT-DEL and ending the IE task.
There are two other users on the system, one of whom is
the system administrator. Neither one of them has the
problem I described above when logged into this web site.
When logged in as the first user, there's no problem
accessing any other features beside the one in IE. I
haven't noticed this happening in other chat rooms I've
visited.
What could be causing this, and how do I fix it? Any ideas?
