my friend is having trouble logging into windows 2000
after allowing her nephew on computer.the box used to come
up with administrator and she didnt put in password just
clicked ok.now it wont let her we have tried typing in
default.any ideas please how she can log into windows.i
think maybe her nephew logged off instead of shut down,and
she had never logged into windows before with a user name
and password.thanks.

You might try to reset the local Administrator password
with one of the methods mentioned here:

The nephew changed the administrator password. Track him down and find out
what he changed it to.
It is not a matter of logging off rather than shutting down; shutdown
includes logoff, always.
