I need to automate a telnet session into a router and dump some stats to a
file. Can the cmd line telnet do this. If it can, how can I dump a screen
from a cisco router.

Invest in a copy of Kermit 95, it's not expensive. The telnet client that
comes with Windows isn't scriptable really.
