View Full Version : what makes a mapped drive vanish?

I can map a drive using "net use ... /persistant = yes" in the logon
script.
On rare occaision the mapped drive will just dissappear from "my computer".
Under what circumstances can windows remove a drive from "My Computer" ?
Is there any way to stop the drive from being removed ever?

My problems have been around since the begining of September. I have 1 user
a day get a disconnected network drive. This particular drive is mapped to
z: in the AD user and Computers snapin. A simple reboot fixes the issue.
Win 2000 clients did not have this issue. Most of the time things work well
but... See my posts other posts for more detailed information. For me I am
wondering if
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;330519
is really not as fixed as they say it is in SP2?
