Hi,

Today i discovered something which i found very strange.
When i openend the properties of the _tcp.***.corp zone and went to the name
server tab.
There were different dnsservers shown, but two of them had no ip address.
There was an asterix (*) shown.
At the bottom is mentioned that the ip address is retrieved as the result of
a DNS query and may not represent actual records stored on this server.
When checked this afternoon the right ip adres appeared for both servers. Is
this normal behavior and can this be explained.

Regard,
Klaas

This is normal behavior for an NS record that does not have a Glue Record on
the same server. A glue record is an A record for the host name.
