Hi All

I am having a Windows 2003 DNS issue.

I have one windows 2003 server running DNS for a domain of XP client PCs. I
use my ISPs DNS servers as forwarders and Recursion is enabled. I am Not
running any form of Proxy server.

The problem is that users have complained that for new web sites they visit
on the first attempt to load the page it times-out after only a few seconds.
As soon as they hit refresh it loads no problem.
I can replicate this behaviour by making NSLookup queries to new domains and
it will time-out to my DNS server the first time but then receive an IP
address the second time.
Also when I run test queries from the Monitoring tab in DNS on the first
attempt the Recursive Query it will take up to 10 seconds then Fail. However
on subsequent tests it Passes instantly.

No errors in the event logs, but I have got some captures of the DNS debug
log if they help ?

Please can anyone help with this as feel it must be a DNS issue but have
been unable to find a solution ?
