I keep getting this message when after installing some Netgear wireless
drivers:
"The McAfee Winsock Filter detected that your Windows Sockets protocols were
changed or upgraded.
The Winsock filter was reconfigured for these changes. However, you may
need to restart your ocmputer in order to access your network or Internet
connection."
I have a Thinkpad Win2000, gave up in frustration, had my laptop re-imaged
and after installing McAfee Virusprotection again along with the firewall I
keep getting the message when I try to dial up! I can get connected to my
ISP but there's no throughput in my browser.
I've spent weeks on this headache and just can't seem to get over it!
Any ideas?
Many thanks.
