Hi,

I've accidentially renamed my DVD drive name under explorer. How can I
change it back to default ?

Tks!

I'm not sure what you mean by "rename". You mean change the drive
letter? Go to Computer Management from the Administrative Tools applet.
You can change the drive letter back from there.

This may help you,

Look in the registry at this location, *if present*

[HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DriveIcon\<driveletter>\DefaultLabel]

Double-click "default" and change the name here or delete the key
<driveletter> located here

[HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\DriveIcon]

You may have to log off then log on to see the changes.

If you changed the drive letter then follow Malke's advice.

If you to a command prompt and type Label /? This works on hard drives and
might work on the DVD drive.
