View Full Version : Corrupted screen resolution

Hi

After installing critical updates and then restarting servers, on two of
our Windows 2003 Standard servers screen resolution has been corrupted.
First it looked like there was a problem with a graphic card driver, but
after reinstalling drivers, changing screen/resolution settings and
properties screen picture is still corrupted.

It looks like a transparent screen with large characters so it's quite
difficult to work from console or via terminal services.

Any ideas what has caused this and how can be fixed? Is it possible that
some of MS critical updates do this?

Thank you all in advance

Regards

Miha

Perhaps the video hardware is failing?

Hi
Thanks, but after running hw tests all hardware is working perfectly. There
must be something with Win2003 settings but I don't know what
Regards

Does it appear normal in Safe Mode? If not, I would suspect there is not
the correct driver installed.

In Safe Mode screen is normal. We have already tried to install besides
original driver (from server cd) other drivers from manufacturer but still
the same problem.

I think maybe time to contact manufacturer vendor support to see if this
happens to other customers.

What does this have to do with NetWare? Blaming it on Novell? ;)
