hello everyone
i have this problem where i have a program giving me problems if a physical
floppy drive where present during the installation of the windows 2000 OS.
the program runs fine on machines where there was no physical floppy drive
and the os was install, and on the same machine where there is no physical
floppy drive but a usb external floppy.
so i want to remove any and all references to the physical floppy drive on
those computers that have a physical floppy drive and then disconnect the
floppy drive from the motherboard and just use a usb external floppy drive.
i have tried a lot of the more simple things like disable and unistall
floppy drive controller but there must be something deep in the registry i am
not removing.

so anybody knowing how to remove the floppy drive from the os would really
be appreciated.

found my problem, it was that i did not have fcbs statement in config.nt file
and all the years i had been putting that statement in computers, i really
do not know where my head was.
but still it would be good to learn how to disable that freakin floppy.
thanks for reading though
