Hi I have Windows 2000 Professional SP4 computer on network and uses
network printer HP Lasetjet 8150, HP Laserjet III, Sharp AR-M455N PCL6
and have installed Timberline Accounting Software which by default
installs the Printer option TS PDF Generator.

I have defaulted printer HP Laserjet 8150 and when I reboot the
compuater it changes to anything like TS PDF Generator than again when
I default to HP Laserjet 8150 and reboot the computer no default
printer is selected.

Can any guru tell me what colud be the problem.

Windows will be make the default printer the first one it finds. Some
manufacturers insist their printer drivers also define it as default. Check
with Timberline if their software does this with the PDF generator printer.

Thanks Cari.

I talked with Timberline but they says that it is just PDF generator
and it is not intended to setup default printer.

This happens on just one computer only not on other networked
computers.

Any other idea.
