I have a stange issue related to a remote server that is using a Demand Dial
connection under RRAS to VPN into our corpnet.

After a few hours it seems that the server is no longer asccessible from
within the corpnet LAN? It still appears to be connected when I look at the
RRAS / ISA server under Remote Access Clients...but it's not available via
ping or UNC path. Once I disconnect that session and it reconnects,
everything is back up and running just fine once the DNS server updates the
ip address for that remote connections ip address.

Anyone ever seen this behavior?

Thx,
Gaylen

I had a similar problem before. I changed the network card and the
problem disappeared. Don't know if this info can help you.

FYI: I think I solved this problem by enabling IP Routing on both the RRAS
servers. The calling server and the receiving server. No idea really why
that fixed it...but apparently it did the trick. Connection has remained up
now for days and still reachable from within the corpnet LAN.
