G'day everybody,

For a few months now I have been getting errors with my print spooler which
I don't know how to rectify.

The entry in my event viewer is:
EventID: 26
Source: Application Popup
Description: Application popup: spoolsv.exe - Application Error : The
instruction at "0x76a94971" referenced memory at "0x0000001c". The memory
could not be "written".

Followed by
EventID: 7031
Source: Service Control Manager
Description: The Print Spooler service terminated unexpectedly. It has done
this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 60000
milliseconds: Restart the service.

As a little background:
The server is a Dell PowerEdge 1600SC, running MS 2000 Server (5.0.2195 SP 4
Build 2195).
It is configured as a terminal server and has been since the original build
- the error did not appear until after we added a printer directly to the
server (networked printer) so TS clients could print reports in the central
office.

Thinking that maybe the print spooler location was the issue (there is
limited drive space available on the %system% drive) I moved the spooler to
a secondary drive with gig's of free space.

Any pointers would be excellent - it is starting to become a bit of a pain
in the proverbial.

Cheers
moosus

Normally caused by faulty printer drivers. What make and model is the
printer? How is the device attached to the TS server?
