Good Day All,

Quick question,

I've just addded some RAM to have a total of 8GB. What should I set my
pagefile too 12gb ?. I do have a dedicated hard disk just to store my
pagefile.

Will windows accept such large pagefile ?

Tks

Don't get hung up with the so-called "rule" about the size of a page
file being 1.5 times the size of memory.

Your swap/page file should be big enough that you will (almost) never
see it increase in size during normal operations. With 8GB (wow!) you
could almost set the size to zero (please don't do it!).

If you have a drive dedicated to the page file do not hesitate to follow the rule of thumb, it is their for a reason. You also have to worry about OS dumps, if they happen, if your page file does not equal memory you cannot get a good dump file and wont be able to trouble shoot the root cause.
The important thing to do is one you have set the page file monitor memory usage to ensure you have enough memory.
