I've read several instances where some jobs print one page at a time
but have found no resolution.
Here is my situation. The printer is a HP 4650dn. I print a postcard
job out of Windows XP using Microsoft Access 2003. The source file for
this job has been progressively getting larger, therefore the print job
is getting larger. As of this past Tuesday, the size of the print job
exceeded 850mb.
The situation is the printer will print one page, pause for 12-15
seconds, print another page, etc. This just started to happen about a
week ago and thought it was a fluke but now I wonder if there is a
bigger problem.
I contacted HP support and they instructed me to perform a cold restart
and that I should also consider increasing memory. The cold restart
did nothing and I went and did some checking and found 512mb of printer
memory and ordered it. It hasn't been delivered and I hope to have it
by tomorrow. They also told me I should purchase a hard drive for the
printer, which I did not purchase.
Can anyone else think of other possibilities that might be causing this
problem?
Thank you very much.
Peter
