Hi there,
Will a W2K repair remove machine from domain, will somehow alter the
machine security ID?
If I have multiple trusts within the NT4 domains should I expect the machine
to see them just fine after the repair?
I am asking this since after doing a W2K repair, machines do not seem to see
the Exchange server located on another NT4 domain and I need to remove
machine from domain, remove re add TCPIP, re add machine to domain.

In general a repair install tries to preserve network settings if possible
but if you're having a problem that may not be possible. If I might ask,
why are you doing repair installs on these computers?

Hi Richard,
Thanks for asking.
One case machine was not booting(missing int.ini or something like that),
other machines would not connect to exchange server when launching Outlook
2000 client.
Clients are on one NT4 domain, server is on another NT4 domain but both
physically locatedon the same LAN/subnet.

For this you're doing repair installs? That's pretty much a waste of time
and effort.

In the first case your computer was likely missing BOOT.INI which can easily
be rebuilt from the Repair Console. The computers that won't connect to the
Exchange server should be investigated as you would any other
network-connectivity issue with the added proviso that the first thing I'd
do would be to remove all the stored mail profiles on the machine and then
re-configure mail settings.
