i know that this is not winxp related, but i need the gaming guru jimmy s.'s
help! i reinstalled the half life platinum collection and all patches
including 1.1.1.0. now i have 2 problems! half life dialogue is in french
and i can't start opposing force by any means known!

i went through all the patching before i started to play, so i don't know
when it bollixed. is there one or two files that control the dialogue
language?

on a hunch i added the opfor demo addon. it installed and the menu came up.
but when i selected play or training options i get the following error
message - "could not link client.dll function HUD_PlayerMove" and the menu
closes when i press ok. could this be the problem?

i solved the opfor problem! i had identical pak0 and pak1 installed, so i
deleted pak 1. however, i still have the french language problem!

Hi steve,
Uninstall it and clear out any left over registry entries for the game,
and then install just the basic game to see which language version
you have. Note if the installer is in English or in French too please.
Note: You can get RegCleaner from MajorGeeks.com
