I am able to ping the IP of the remote PC. Actually, I am sure that the
remote PC is fine because I can share a folder on it from other XP
machines. Besides, it is professionally maintained. From the Win 2000
PC that I have, I cannot share any folder on any network. So I am kinda
certain that the problem is on my side.

Under Administrative tools -> .... -> Security options, there is no
entry called "Network Access: Sharing and security model for local
accounts". Is that normal? Also, I don't know if I am part of a
Workgroup or a domain. If there are other troubleshooting tips that you
can give, I would appreciate it.
