I must be overlooking something simple, but can't get any sound from CD or
DVD players, Winamp, etc. I have hit every combo of Function keys, etc.
Anyone had this problem and know how to resolve it?

Using XP Home and Great Quality laptop ZX-5501. Thanks!!

I just rebooted and magically the volume is working again. I swear I didn't
touch anything.... From reading google posts, it looks like there is an
inate problem with XP with regards to sound. If anyone knows how to fix
this, I would appreciate it!

It's only a mere glitch if it just happens once. If it happens more than
once, then we'll think of something.

This happens all the time with XP Home. It's the big reason I'm still using
Win98SE on my regular machine.
