Hello,
What must be done to back up the local security/permissions settings like
share permissions, folder permissions, various local security permissions,
local group permissions, user rights on a windows 2000 server? I am using
veritas backup exec as the back up software.

In general, a backup of your partitions and of system state via
BE will be restored with permissions. It is possible to cause
restore without permissions. This is not a Windows usage issue
but one of that non-Microsoft product.
