Maybe someone can help me. I'm running win2k pro, all updates. I have
an office machine that has had 2 WLan cards in it, both with the same
issue (changed the card as troubleshooting.)
Network browsing is fine, all programs other than web browsers work
fine. No spyware, no virus's, AV set to standard scan, web and network
scanning set to off, no 2.4ghz devices in room, all drivers up to date.
Loading pages in either IE or Mozilla (latest updates) can either take
minutes (per page) or time out all together. We are on a fast
connection, 1gb down. The browser just can't seem to get the pages it
needs to finish loading.
When I switched back to my wired card, it went away, it functions
normally, no problems. When I run the wireless card, I do have the
wired card installed, but disabled.
I'm wondering IRQ issues, MTU issues, or something like that. I've
tested memory, network noise, etc. Wireless card shows 100% signal and
normal noise to one AP, and on a 2nd connection, like 75% and low noise
on the other. I have static IP set (no conflicts) and DNS set as well.
Any ideas?
