Hi,

I have setup RAS on my w2k server which also runs NAT, firewall and
webserver. I read in the Microsoft documents that in this case I shall
not configure as a VPN server but as the VPN-client, that works OK and
I can loggin to my server which also shows in the RAS monitor on the
server. The client gets an IP address from the server. But: I can ping
the client from the server but not the server from the client. On the
client standard-gateway is shown to be the same as the clients IP and
not the servers IP as I expected it to be. And I can not se nor access
any shared recorses on my network from the client. Nor can I access any
shared recorses on the remote client from the local nettwork Why? Can
anyone help me out here. Any suggestions highly appreciated.

Make sure not firewall on the client blocks the ping. "On the
client standard-gateway is shown to be the same as the clients IP" is by design.
