you probably need a AC3 decoder, do a search for "AC3 filter" on google
it should bring up a free one that works very well ( i think from
soundforge)

tsnotmeuc 10-16-2006, 04:34 AM Shahed stated "Read VOB files, but no sound". My problem is WMM cannot/will
not read my VOB movie file. I have a home movie on a DVD, it is a VOB file,
it plays on Computer, DVD player, WM Player, everything. I downloaded "ULead
Video Studio 10" (a movie editing software) which read and imported my DVD
movie but Windows Movie Maker says "The file E:\VIDEO_TS\VTS_01_1.VOB is not
a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker.".
I find this strange because all other movie maker/editing programs import the
movie. Can you or anyone explain why this is happening with WMM?
Thanks

Cari \(MS-MVP\) 10-16-2006, 04:38 AM Windows Movie Maker CANNOT read a VOB file. Convert it to MPEG and you
might get better results.
