Does anyone know how to delete and redo a webmail address that has been
registered already. I made a mistake in the registration in Yahoo. I wanted
an address that has only @yahoo.com but mine came out @yahoo.com.ph I tried
to register again but it seems it won't accept the login name that I
originally registered. How can I remove the .ph at the end? The only thing
I can think of is to cancel the registration but I don't know if there is
such a command. Does anyone know?

Well this isn't Yahoo and, unless you paid for it, likely isn't an OE
question. Oh, and it probably violates their terms of service.

Anyhow, you can probably clear your cookies out, go to Yahoo.com, and use a
U.S. address to create your account. A careful look at their TOS might be in
order.

Yahoo! is very integrated, internationally. I can't use the same log in
name for 'yahoo.com.au', or 'yahoo.co.uk', or 'yahoo.co.jp' as I have
already use for 'yahoo.com'. I have tried it. I get the same warning,
that the user name is already in use.

I also believe that Yahoo! user names are not recyclable. I have tried
opening a 'yahoo.co.jp' account with a user name that I had
inadvertently deleted (my comprehension of Japanese is not all that
great, and I selected the wrong options).

Nearly as I can tell, you will not be able to get your user name in
'yahoo.com' if it already exists in 'yahoo.co.ph'; even if you delete
it. All that you can do is sign up for a new user name in 'yahoo.com'.

Finally, if you intend to use SMTP/POP3 access with 'yahoo.com', it will
cost you $19.99US for a Yahoo! Mail Plus account. Unlike the others (I
now have a Yahoo! Australia and a Yahoo! Japan account), which allow
SMTP/POP3 access for a subscription to Yahoo! Delivers, a 'yahoo.com'
account does not allow free SMTP/POP3 access.

There is no way that I know of to change the Yahoo! domain of an accout.

Yes it seems that you are correct. Just because it was used in yahoo.com.ph
it won't accept it in yahoo.com anymore. It's just that I would have
preferred to use the original login name that I used rather than changing it
again.

As for your comment regarding POP3, I'm able to access my mail from Outlook
thru a program called YPOPS and it's for free.
