Hello:

I see quite a number of files with a .tmp extension at the location:

Windows\Internet Logs\

These files are not found where the othrer TMP files are usually found at
Documents and Settings.\Local Settings\Temp

Why are those files there?

Is it safe to delete them?

Thanks in dvance:

-Eli

Since the Internet Logs folder is part of your Zone Alarm
installation, you might have better luck getting an answer to
your question here:

Zone Labs Customer Service and Support
http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/support/support.jsp?dc=12bms&ctry=US&lang=en&lid=nav_csmain

Zone Labs User Forums
http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/support/userForum/userForum_agreement.jsp?dc=12bms&ctry=US&lang=en&lid=ts_userforum

Personally, I think you're going to find that deleting those
files is not a problem.

Good luck

I clean them every few months. It doesn't hurt anything.

Thank you Frank and Netpatsfan:

I did look through those zone Alarm user forum archives., just to be sure.
They say that those internet log Files with .txt or .tmp extensions are safe
to delete. Other extensions--such as .RDB might reset the database..

Thanks again:

-Eli

I was under the mistaken impression that deleting .tmp files and "cookies"
through Tools when my IE browser was open was sufficient. But, each time I
ran a search for *.tmp and "cookies (I realize there not really a problem)"
I found scads of both.

Now I'm wiser--is every day a new lesson for us? I've owner a computer
since the first home one came out--can't remember the name but that thing
chugged along for years!

Never had a virus or Trojan, but now we're dealing with more virulent
problems that we really cannot easily stop with the best intentions. Sheesh!
