My current domain is windows 2000. I have got a new Dell Server, on which I
have already installed windows Server 2003 & then tried to
implement Exchange server 2003 on it.
I started running the Exchange CD, & while running domainprep, I got an
error showing “this version of windows this has known compatibility issues”,
but since the pop-up window had options like continue/cancel/abort, I
continued it, during which only 8 of 10 steps was done on schema update.
Since the above was not completed fully, I tried to run "adprep /forestprep"
tool on windows 2000 domain controller, upon which I got the error as shown
below,
=============================
"attributeId" attribute value for objects defined in Windows 2000 schema and
ext
ended schema do not match.
A previous schema extension has defined the attribute value as
"1.2.840.113556.1
..4.7000.187.102" for object
"CN=uid,CN=Schema,CN=Configuration,DC=O2INDIA,DC=com
" differently than the schema extension needed for Windows 2003 server .
[Status/Consequence]
Adprep cannot extend your existing schema
[User Action]
Contact the vendor of the application that previously extended the schema to
res
olve the inconsistency. Then run adprep again.
"isSingleValued" attribute value for objects defined in Windows 2000 schema
and
extended schema do not match.
"attributeSyntax" attribute value for objects defined in Windows 2000 schema
and
extended schema do not match.

Please help me to resolve this issue.
