Both these two programs seem to be pretty comprehensive, but I can't find
any comclusive reviews that would let me determine if one is significantly
better than the other.
What is the collective experience here regarding the merits of Registry
Mechanic and/or Registry Cleaner? they would be used now on WIN2Ksp4 and
perhaps later on Vista.
Thanks.

There is a third alternative: Don't use either. At best, registry
cleaners make no difference to the performance of a machine.
People who install them get a warm feeling inside but most are
wise enough to refrain from taking out a stop watch to measure
the (non-existant) improvement. At worst they wreck your
installation.

I personally use V-Com's "Fix It Pro", and it does a fine job of registry
cleaning, plus a host of other things too. Pricing is similar too.
