I am installing symantec 10.1 on 2 windows 2000 terminal server...
the server right now is application mode but according to the documentation
written by symantec i have to install their software in Remote administration
mode...

does this mean i can install it if i am directly in front of the server or
use mstsc.exe /v:serverip /console.... like with terminal server 2003 or do i
have to

go to add or remove windows components and make the change to the mode
reboot and then install symantec and then undo the mode change...???...

help!!!!!

I too find this documentation by Symantec to be very confusing, but I
interpret it as SAVCE 10x is not supported on Terminal Server.

Switching from Terminal Server (application server) Mode to Remote Destkop
for Administration (remote administration) Mode should NOT be done.

I used to use SAVCE on versions 7.6 thru 8.x w/o problems on TS, but have
heard lots of grumblings about the issue you're referring to on 10.x.

I'd contact Symantec Tech Support for their official stance on supporting
SAVCE on Terminal Servers.

Here is a list of Anti-Virus software compatible with Terminal Server:
