Greetings!

I have setup Project 2007.

I have created 2 Enterprise Custom fields (for Entity Task) based on 2
custom lookup tables one named, "Activities" and another named
"SubActivities." Now, when I'm creating the tasks (through Project
Professional 2007), I choose the values for the custom lookup
"Activities" and "Sub Activities". Then, I save it and Publish the
project to Project Server 2007. Once, this is done, In the Project
Center, I can see the "Activities", "Sub-Activities" properly
populated, but when I go to My Tasks menu (View Assignments),
Activities and Sub-Activities are not populated? Could anybody let me
know why this is happening?

Thanks and Regards,
Dilip

Hi Dilip,
I have the same issue.
when creating a customl field , you should set the option
"Calculation for Assignment Rows " : "Roll down, unless manually
specified " .

this can solve your problem. But , unfortunetely it will be the cause
of other problem.
if you will use an assignement owner for many assignement on the same
task : you will have an error on My Tasks View

Hope that will help and let we know.

if anyone has any comment, he will be welcome.

bye

You're creating task fields, but looking at assignment data...
In project pro - select the Task usage view and the fields you created and
notice the difference.

Hey med,

Tx buddy. I set the option for "calculation of assignment rows". Now,
my custom fields are propaged across my tasks and my timesheet views.
The second problem, I'm yet to encounter. I will let you know once I
get it.
Tx again. Have a good day!

Thanks and Regards,
Dilip
