View Full Version : FBWF - deletion fails in write through folders

Hi,

we've started using file based write filter on a XP embedded system with a
couple of write through folders. One folder is c:\temp and holds logfiles and
other temporary stuff. When I try to delete a file in this folder the
operation fails with the error "Cannot delete fileX: The request is not
supported".
Deletion works with the FBWF disabled, the same error happens in other write
through folders and on another system, we also tried adding a new write
through folder - same problem.

Anybody seen this before?

-Lukas

When you do a delete, the data gets sent to the garbage can, which is
protected by FBWF. FBWF doesn'tallow for this. You have to do a full delete
shift+del to delete a file.

It is discussed here:
