Hi.
Have added all the right components and set BIOS to USB Flash but always get
hard boot failure on a blue screen.
Have tried both running FBA from USB and making a run image first on a hard
drive and then copying to USB stick. Neither work. The help files on FE2007
do nothing to help. Any ideas please.
Thanks.
Graham.

What are the BIOS options set to when the USB flash drive is plugged in? Is
there an emulation mode for hard drive?

It's a VIA M series Mb with first boot device set to USB Flash.
Graham.

The VIA M series' bios doesn't support USB hard disk emulatation, thus XPe
cannot boot from USB on the system. I have asked VIA to update the BIOS, but
they are more focussed on the newer C7 boards.

The new EX and I believe EK have support in the BIOS to boot XPe via USB
flash disk.

Thanks for that info Sean. I had previously tried the EN15000 which did not
work but was not sure why.
We make products for the visually impaired and need to find a low cost
Mother board solution which has only 3 components Sapi5 a RS232 and Printer
port and can boot from USB. If there are any ideas of such MB I would be very
grateful.
Thanks
Regards Graham.

I had a EPIA EX 15000G that supported booting XPe from USB.
