View Full Version : SimpleTech CF M Controller Problem

I have been using the SimpleTech industrial CF with the "M" controller
for many months (SLCF256MM1U-F). On these, the word, "Simpletech" is
written at the bottom of the label. I just received five units with
exactly the same model number but with a new logo, "STECH" at the
bottom of the label.

These new devices (all five) are not recognized at POST when they are
used on an Advantech PCM-5820 where the CF is on the secondary IDE.
They work fine on both the primary and secondary of a motherboard
system and they work on the primary IDE of another Advantech SBC.

What kind of problem am I looking at here: A problem with a batch of
cards, or a design change that didn't reflect in the model number?

Thanks for any help.

I have seen this with SanDisk. Two of the exact same make and model - one
boots XPe, the other doesn't. You should contact the manufacturer directly.
