Since these are two different domain (in two forests) the pdc emulator of
each domain has to be able to resolve the same in the other domain in order
for a trust to be set up, even a one way trust. You need to get those two
machines to resolve each other and probably the easiest way would be to just
throw an lmhosts file on each one pointing to the other for the 1B. Once
name resolution is working properly, if you're still having problems, then
the most common cause is port blockage on routers etc.

If you use an lmhosts, be sure you see all of the registrations shown when
you run the nbtstat.
