We have a 100 Mb network running Windows 2000 server
(fully patched) that is very slow compared to the very
same network running SBS 2000. When you monitor the
loopback connector (127.0.0.1) in the server network
board it maxes out but there doesn't seem to be any or
very little traffic on the network. This behaviour is not
seen using SBS in the very same environment. The
applications hat experience the problem are fat client
apps (eg. Great Plains (non SQL) and Visual Foxpro 7)
