I've looked all around to try to find the answer to this question but so far
no luck.

If I have 2 DCs for DomainX and 2 DCs for DomainY in the same site does KCC
treat the replication among the 4 DCs as a pure intrasite one, using
intrasite scheduling?

If I understand your question correctly, the answer is yes. A site is a
site - disregarding what domains exist in the site. The KCC will set up
replication based on the site.

Keep in mind though that replication between the domains is slightly
different than the replication within domains.
