View Full Version : cant add win2k machines to Domain.

Geraldine
Greetings larger computing community,

I have a group of 10 servers .. 2 of which I have recently re-installed and
given the same name as they had before.

However I cannot add them to the domain .. I get a networking error saying
cannot find path.

I can term serv to each machine, I can pass files around on network shares
etc .. so it seems the network is good.

I have tried deleting the entries from Active Directory on the domain
controller but no success and a search on google came back with nada.

I really dont know where to look for a solution. .. (so here I am )

Kind Regards.

Jon
Is this an AD domain? If so, look at DNS as culprit. Make sure DC's are
registerring in DNS and make sure these member servers are pointing to the
same W2K DNS (again, if this is a AD Domain).
