View Full Version : how to setup router info in DHCP

Hi, I only want the users in my "Internet Access OU" to get the router info
from DHCP, so they can have iternet access. Everyone else needs to have it
blnk, so that they can't browse. How do I go about this?? I don't want to
hardcode it on the machine, because the users move around quite a bit.

You cannot assign DHCP information on an OU basis. You can use DHCP to
assign addresses only to specific MAC addresses but this is about as
flexible as it gets and if users are often working on different PC's this
wont work anyway. Sounds like you maybe need to get a firewall or proxy
server instead.
