View Full Version : Powerpoint turns off screensaver

Linus Lund
Hi,
I'm trying to inforce an autologut function via the winexit screensaver.
It works except when a user starts a powerpoint presentation, then all
screensavers are turned off. Microsoft has this problem listed in KB
article 318449
(http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318449), but
their solution (download WinXP SP1) does not solve the problem.

I run Windows XP, SP1a, Office 2003. I have set all screensaver settings
via the group policy editor.

Does anybody have an idea what do to?

Best regards
Linus Lund

You might try a third party logoff screensaver or try configuring an autologoff via
Scheduled Tasks configured for a period of idle time to the run pshutdown -o from
SysInternals as shown in the link below. --- Steve
