View Full Version : Restrict access to USB devices

Bob
Does anybody know a possibility to restrict the access to
the USB Port? Some devices should be allowed (scanners),
but USB sticks and digital cameras should be forbidden. Is
there a group policy for that problem?

Best regards

How about disabling the usb bus in bios or through control panel?
I don't think you can disable it per device.

I believe there is no group policy for the problem. There
are some 3rd party products like SecureNT. We use a small
VBScript called usbsecure.vbs. Here you can define a white
list with allowed USB devices. The problem is that you
have no centralized administration. Visit
