Two machine, one 2000 pro. and another Win XP Pro. When
accessing the XP from 2k pro., it is giving a
message 'logon failure, user account restriction' and not
get any connection.

Check that the ICF built in firewall is disabled on the XP Pro machine assuming you
have other firewall protection from the internet. Also you need a user account on the
target machine that matches the user name/password that you logon to the W2K
