Hi
Please help me! ASAP

I have Windows 2000 Domain that run in Mixed-mode and about 30-40 Client computer tha
run windos XP and Windows 2000 Professional and windows 98

i want to my Users that logon to Windows XP and Windows 2000 be able to Share their document on their computers network

I Set the Default GPO at root domain to enable SHARE PERMENENT on all of my Authenticated users but it doesn't work
but when i add users to Server Operators they can share .But i don't want to let them more privilage that they need

That user right you configured has nothing to do with sharing folders. Set
it back to default value, probably administrators.

If you want to allow users to share folders on their computers they must be
at least power users on their computer. You can add their domain account to
the local power users group. Keep in mind that power users, while not
administrators, can do a lot more on their computer such as create local non
admin users, and install a LOT of applications so procede with caution on
who you make a power user. --- Steve

I don't think that's a good idea. I'd make sure that My Documents is
redirected to the users' home directories, and that any shares are set up on
the server, by you. No data should be stored on workstations....treat them
as disposable/moveable that way. What's the reason you want it otherwise?
