View Full Version : Forgotten Administrator passwords

I can only log in as a guest because i accidentally
deleted my own account. the original Administrator account
provided by win 2000 is still available but i've forgotten
the password i first gave it when i got the computer. and
i've no E.R.D. (emergency recovery disk) so is there any
way of getting in to the admin account, to recreate my
account, or changing the password of the admin account?

Robert
I remember my early days of hte Internet when someone told
me to use 'anonymous ftp' to get a file. I asked a group,
not unlike this one, what 'anonymous ftp' was told by one
participant that I should 'get the 'effing hell off the
internet because I was wasting bandwidth and being a world
class a-hole' and was told to 'f off'. I didn't feel good
after that exchange...

I try to keep that in mind when someone asks me a silly
or 'stupid' question...

I just picked up what was reported as
a 'gloogle.downloader.trojan' from that site:
http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd which was
referenced from the website that you provided.

I'm not accusing, just letting people know to beware...

No problems here, I would recommend you thoroughly clean your machine and make
sure you scrub the pins on the ethernet connection with bleach.
